At some point or another, we have all encountered uncertainties that have surely knocked us down, but I believe that these hardships can be framed in a better and more constructive way and together, working side-by-side, we will develop the right coping strategies, build up your personal strengths, and foster endless self-love. Sometimes, what we consider weaknesses are actually concealed strengths and this will be an opportunity to work towards achieving meaningful personal growth. Trust and collaboration are my fundamental pillars of practice, and I believe that these pillars are crucial towards obtaining substantive results.
I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from Trent University, and a Master of Social Work in Advanced Clinical Practice from Walden University. I have had the privilege of over 8 years collaborating with clients from all walks of life in addictions facilities, correctional institutions, hospital and community settings. I currently work in the Emergency Department at Cortellucci Vaughan and Mackenzie Health hospitals. It can be challenging to piece it together all on your own, but I will actively listen to you and guide you through the process of self-acceptance.
My therapeutic approach is trauma-focused, integrative and eclectic. I utilize a wide range of techniques drawing from Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Narrative therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion-Focused, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. I specialize in a wide range of mood related disorders and dual diagnosis.
I believe that as humans we are strongly resilient and I value the opportunity to help others realize their power to overcome life’s demands.
